"...the sound was heavy with knowledge."

Mary Carillo just said it best: Roddick lost to the number one tennis player of all time, barely. It was such a good match and Roddick has played so well the entire tournament and I just want to do a little shout out to the kid - I hope he comes back and wins it next time...

"It was lying on a butcher's block, not crying, although there was snow, but warm and chuckling under a comforter of stray cats. They were all purring together, and the sound was heavy with knowledge. I stood by the strange cradle for a long time, pondering while the snow fell and the cats purred prophecy."

I am totally with you on this one - very well done, Andy!
Ditto. I was rooting for Federer, but then I felt so bad for Roddick because he was so good, and so I felt a bit guilty for my rooting, and so now I need him to win next year. Plus, he's very cute.
I felt like it might be Federer's last chance (not sure why), so I wanted him to win it.
Perhaps I'm just a traitor?
