Hmmm...
Okay, so last night I had a dream that 2 of my students in a class I was teaching were threatening to take all my internal organs. They were leaving notes for me saying that they would strike on "a Saturday." I took the notes to the campus police and they were able to find out which students they were by doing DNA testing on the paper.
However, they weren't able to do anything to the students, so I still had to teach them in class. The police wouldn't give me a gun (I asked), but they were able to give me a taser disguised in the handle of one of those squeegees that you wash windshields with.
Where the hell did that come from, I ask you?
I also had a second dream (I remember these frequently), where I had joined the space program and lied about having gotten a Ph.D. in astrophysics. I was getting ready to go on a shuttle mission and I was terrified because I had no idea how to work any of the equipment. But I was also scared to tell anyone I lied, because we all know what happens when NASA gets mad, right?
I was so relieved to wake up...

You're freaky.
Oh, but the dreams that make you wake up laughing! Brad Pitt appeared in mine twice this week; when he didn't show up the third night, I was disappointed - in the dream!
Then this morning, there were these gay vampires messing with my cruise ship.
I don't think Siggy would like my dreams... but they make me laugh. Tasers, eh? I like it.
Damn. It must be that time of year: I had three or four consecutive anxiety dreams this morning (diminishing in length and awfulness): one was a teaching dream, one was a dating dream (??), one was a friend-mysteriously-hating-me dream, and the last was the usual running-way-late-and-being-totally-lost dream.
In my case, I think they're all about my manuscript. Yours? Couldn't say. But I ain't never getting in no space shuttle with you, that's for sure.
Ugh, I think your dream will be my reality based on how my class is currently going.
It could indeed be you processing the past year, just much later than might be expected. Who knows how the mind works? Not me, that's for sure.
Okay, dream #2 is a variation on a pretty standard theme. But #1? That's wild.
This reminds me of my weirdest academic dream ever, which I'll have to blog about sometime soon. Let's just say it involved the AHA, an e-boyfriend and his family, and clots of semi-melted exploding cheese.
