Yes. You should get an editor to hold your hand, or at least your adviser, but I think that is okay. Don't add anything. Be ready to cut at editorial suggestion. But don't freak out because it's 75,000 words, counting the notes.

Palgrave's limit for the New Middle Ages is 90,000 words, which includes notes and bibliography, but not index. You're golden.
